The brief
O2 Home was a new smart home proposition. Before a wider launch, O2 wanted to know how the brand, retail experience and customer journey would actually perform in-store.
Working alongside the O2 Innovation Lab, we developed and tested a series of concepts designed to attract attention, improve product understanding and gather real customer feedback. The insights would help inform the future direction of the O2 Home brand.
The challenge
Designing for retail means competing for attention.
Over four weeks, we worked alongside the O2 Innovation Lab to understand how customers moved through stores, identify where the existing experience was falling short, and rapidly test new concepts in a live environment. Every decision was informed by research, customer feedback and continuous iteration.
The solution
Working in short design sprints, we translated customer research into concepts that could be quickly tested and refined.
We developed a refreshed visual identity, interactive retail experiences and animated content designed to increase visibility and encourage customer engagement. Every concept was tested in-store, with customer feedback shaping the next iteration until we arrived at a solution that balanced business goals with real customer behaviour.
